September Spotlight: Meet Lily from the St. Anthony School

September 26, 2023

Meet Lily Troglia, from the St. Anthony School, located in Show Low, Arizona. Lily is in 3rd Grade and has attended the school since Pre-K. The Troglia family is Catholic and they appreciate how St. Anthony’s incorporates Catholicism into the studies. They also enjoy the sense of community the school fosters for the families who attend. Lily’s mom, Maria, is the primary caregiver for Lily and her brother Rourke, who is a sophomore in high school and a graduate of St. Anthony’s.

Maria commented that the family relies on help from her parents and Lily’s paternal grandfather to raise the children, as it takes a village and ALF is apart of that village. Maria said, “The Arizona Leadership Foundation has afforded my children the opportunity to broaden their education and expand their horizons, we are thankful for the scholarships.”

Lily likes math, art, swimming, basketball and crafts. She is very interested in gardening and someday wants to attend college and become a botanist.

Lily’s second grade teacher, Ms. Cambria Quinn had this to say about her, “Lily is such a kind hearted girl, and it was a joy to have her in my class. She is a hard worker, and she doesn’t shy away from taking on new challenges. Her optimistic attitude was a great addition to our classroom community, and I know she will do great things in the future!”
