From their mom, Amber Hann, “We chose to walk the path of becoming a certified foster family back in 2017. In 2018 we were officially licensed and received a call for a newborn baby girl from the hospital. We fostered her for several months and she then left to live with a family member who took in all of the other siblings who were in foster care.  Five months later, we received a call from the Department of Child Services (DCS) that the same baby girl and her sister needed a new placement. We agreed to take in both girls who were, at the time, 11 months and 3 years old. Unfortunately, the court systems have not been swift to give our girls and their siblings a timely permanency, so we are still in the midst of a DCS case attempting reunification or working towards adoption. It has been a very difficult four years, but God has shown us immense grace during this time of uncertainty. The Arizona Leadership Foundation gave us the ability to send our foster daughter to kindergarten at WVCS and surround her with godly influence, prayer support and friendship.”

Amy Sun, 2nd grade teacher at West Valley Christian School had this to say about the family.  “I have had the privilege of knowing the Hann family for 15 years, first when Jeremiah was a young youth pastor at my church, then watching them be married and embark on the journey of growing their family.  Jeremiah was a pastor at my church up until this last year when I then had the privilege to be on the same staff with him at WVCS.  I have watched as their family grew from one, to three, to five children; watched as they learned about Christian education and decided that was the path their family was to take.  It was my joy to teach their oldest, Bryson, in both kindergarten and 1st grade and to see him grow in his young relationship with the Lord.  During that time, the Hann’s began their adventure into fostering. Our class supported them when their foster baby, now their little sister, joined the family.  My Kindergarteners gathered around to lay hands on Bryson and Baby and pray over them.  The Hann’s heart for children is grounded by their love, first and foremost, for the Lord.”

About West Valley Christian School:

At West Valley Christian School (WVCS), we take our partnership in your child’s education very seriously. We focus primarily on three things: Wisdom – Leadership – Service. Therefore, we empower your child with a curriculum that is carefully selected and refined, to help them become excellent critical thinkers and lifelong learners. They will grow in their development toward a solid Christian character, and a robust biblical worldview. They will also learn to live as a servant leader – one who seeks out and meets the needs of those who are less fortunate – just as Jesus did. These three emphases provide the environment and the resources needed for your child to grow into a leader who is rooted in Christ, academically capable and positively engaged in the world around them.
