Arizona Leadership Foundation Celebrates A Scholarship Donation

Arizona Leadership Foundation announces a scholarship contribution of $1 million by Western Refining that will benefit students in the White Mountain area and throughout the state.

To celebrate this announcement, Friday, October 7, Arizona Leadership Foundation and Western Refining will host an event at Giant Gasoline and Convenience Store, located at 331 W. Deuce of Clubs in Show Low, AZ to kick-off their $1M scholarship drive. Drop by the station between 2-4 p.m. for a chance to meet the former NFL legend Frank Sanders and win a host of prizes from KWKM Power 95.7 FM station.

Arizona Leadership Foundation Receives Donation for Low-income Scholarships

Arizona Leadership Foundation announces a donation by COUNTRY Financial that will provide low-income scholarships for private schools in Arizona.

Over the past three years, COUNTRY Financial has contributed over $320,000 to Arizona Leadership Foundation where the funds are used as scholarships through Arizona’s Low- Income Corporate Tax Credit Scholarship Program and the Disabled/Displaced corporate Income Tax Credit Program. This year’s donation of $150,000 will be used specifically for Annunciation Catholic School where students excel academically and strengthen their spiritual values.

Arizona Leadership Foundation and Infinity Insurance partner to provide a bilingual literacy program for low-income students and families.

Low-income families get $750K in scholarships for private school

Thanks to a partnership between the Arizona Leadership Foundation and Western Refining, $750,000 is being diverted to students from low-income families in Yuma in the form of scholarships to local private schools. A company that operates refineries as well as convenience stores and gas stations in the Southwest, Western Refining is partnering with the Arizona Leadership Foundation to participate in the state’s corporate tax credit program.

GEICO donation a boon to tax credit program

A donation this week by GEICO to provide scholarship assistance for Arizona students to attend private schools reminds us of the more than $500 million that individuals and corporations have contributed through school tuition organizations since 1998.

While contributions cannot be made targeting specific students, donors may direct which schools receive the money. For example, out of the $8 million GEICO recently donated through the Arizona Leadership Foundation STO, $4 million has been earmarked for Pima County students.

GEICO tax credit provides private school scholarships

On Monday, GEICO announced an $8 million contribution to the Arizona Leadership Foundation to be used to provide scholarship assistance to private schools for low-income children. Half of the tax credit gift will support Pima County students.

Mayor Rothschild to recognize GEICO for their $5 million commitment to Pima County students

2013 – Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild will host a breakfast celebration to honor GEICO and the Arizona Leadership Foundation for providing $5 million in scholarship assistance for low-income students in Pima County. Mayor Rothschild will discuss the impact these donations have on students and the community.

GEICO to provide $4,000,000 in scholarships for Pima County students

August 2013 – GEICO, in partnership with The Arizona Leadership Foundation, is pleased to announce a commitment to provide $4 million in scholarships assistance for low-income students in Pima County. Earlier this year, GEICO donated $2 million in disabled/displaced scholarship funds to Arizona schools, including $1 million to Intermountain Academy in Tucson.

GEICO has partnered with the Arizona Leadership Foundation to help fund $1 million in scholarships for disabled and displaced students at Intermountain Academy in Tucson, Ariz. The Intermountain Academy looks forward to the enrollment of students referred from all of the Tucson community school districts who have students (K-12) with special educational needs.
